Tangled
My sister loves the movie Tangled. I actually think she wishes she is Rapunzel or otherwise know as Blondy. The movie is a Disney remake of Rapunzel. Like the classic Rapunzel she is trapped in the tower with her long blonde hair and, but in this one she has a thief find her in the hidden tower and decides to explore the unknown (to her) with her pet lizard. One of the best parts of the movie is right after she leaves the tower. She is at war with herself about leaving and betraying her mother that is on a trip to get her paint for her birthday. While on Rapunzel's journey to see the floating lights she gets into some trouble with her new found friend Flynn Rider. She also realizes that she is the missing princess and was kidnapped as a baby by her thought to be mother that was just using her for her magical hair. I know that this was a lot to take in but it is a great movie and everyone in your family will love it.

Classics
Over vacation I also watched some great classic movies from when I was younger. My friends decide that we had to watch Chicken Run. They all said they loved it so we watched it. What we didn't remember from when we were kids was how mean and scary the farmer and the farm owner were. Another thing I watched was Wallace and Gromit. I watched the TV show but it is still a classic from when I was a kid so I had to put it in here. In one of the episodes Gromit went to jail because an evil dog framed him. Another one was he had to defeat a thieving penguin. I suggest you watch them and remember what you loved about them when you were little.
TV Movies
Over vacation when I had nothing to do I watched movies that were on TV. It was a large variety of movies. I watched The Benchwarmers, Along came polly, some Disney Channel movies, Paul Blart Mall-Cop, and A Cinderella Story: Once Apon a Song. These are definitely not the best movies but when you at home with nothing to do they are something. Unfortunately I didn't get to see my favorite Cinderella Story movie which of course is the one with Hillary Duff. I hope you guys got to see some good movies this week weather you were on vacation or not.

Happy Feet 2
Happy Feet 2 came out while ago but it just recently came out on DVD. I saw it in theaters and loved it but it is just as good the second time around. It has the classic story about a penguin struggling to fit in and its usual twist that relates to a real life problem. In the first movie the problem was pollution and the problem in the second one is global warming. The classic dancing penguin Mumble has had a child and his name is Eric. Eric doesn't understand why everyone sings and dances so he has trouble fitting in. The movie includes songs like "Under Pressure", "Mama said knock you out", "I'm bringing fluffy back", and "Let's Dance, Let's Shout, Shake Your Body (Down To the Ground)". If you haven't seen it yet I suggest you do it is funny and good for the whole family.

The Lorax
I saw The Lorax a few weeks ago. It was a good movie with lots of funny catchy songs. I went with 5 other friends and we were the only teenagers there. It is definitely for a younger group but if you are a kid at heart like my friends and I are then this is a great movie to see. It had some cute characters and it brought us back to when we were little and used to read the book. I hope you go see and find the kid inside of you.
The Hunger Games
I know it has been a while since I last blogged but the best way to start it off is with The Hunger Games. I went to the midnight premiere and it was great. I was slightly disappointed with some of the things in the movie. First of all they went through everything so fast. The book is very descriptive and some of the deaths and hallucinations were disappointing. For example when Glimmer dies and Katniss is hallucinating over her body it is not as gory and gross as it should have been. I think they casted people very well Jenifer Lawrence was amazing as Katniss and Josh Hutcherson as peeta and Liam Hemsworth as Gale. I also wish they had explained Gale as a character a little better but they will have a lot of time in the second movie to do that. If you have not seen it go see it!
